People hate Ubisoft’s DRM, and according to a latest finding which suggests that their UPlay service may potentially contain a rootkit, they could get into serious trouble. It is mentioned that the DRM allows anyone to access the PC through a vulnerability.
It’s actually a browser plugin that enables outsiders to enter your PC and cause havoc. These are the games that have these vulnerability. Ubisoft had no intention to maliciously get your information, but when you implement such a DRM, these are the side-effects that usually happens.
This vulnerability was found by a Google information security engineer Tavis Ormandy. You can disable the UPlay plugin from your browser to stay risk free, so please do not panic.
